Quick roundup of best albums of 2004 thus far

So bogus...I got a list as long as my arm of new shit I wanna pick up this year but no cash whatsoever so everything's getting neglected

I would like to say that Intense get much kudos for being better than Iced Earth :) (don't think much of their new one...)

Deathspell Omega - Si monumentum requires circumspice
Pest - Dauðafærð
Drudkh - Autumn aurora
Insomnium - Since the day it all came down
Into eternity - Buried in oblivion
Nasheim - Undergång

In no particular order:

Iced Earth - The Glorious Burden
Evergrey - The Inner Circle
Into Eternity - Dead or Dreaming
Magnitude 9 - Decoding the Soul
Orphaned Land - Mabool
Tad Morose - Modus Vivendi
Tesla - Into the Now
Cea Serin - Where Memories Combine
Aina - Days of Rising Doom

Zod

here are my choices...

orphaned land - mabool
Iced Earth - The Glorious Burden
Evergrey - The Inner Circle
Into Eternity - Dead or Dreaming
Blaze - blood and belief
Symphorce - twice second
Ayreon - the human equation

I'm sure these will change, and many more will come....

good year thus far...

aye,

symphorce are power metal in the sense that nevermore is power metal.

well produced songs that hook you from the beginning. made me go out and rediscover their back catalog, and that rarely happens. and you can find it really cheap at places like best buy...

not over the top, but good rocking songs that are well played...

Blut Aus Nord and Fantomas both scare the hell out of me, but I've listened to Drudkh the most thusfar.

I'll say this, if Drudkh didn't have "Wind of the Night Forests", the album would sit somewhere between 6-10th place in the top ten, but that song probably pushes it into the top quartile. That's probably the song of the year thus far (from CD's that I own, not including MP3 samples I might have heard earlier today...*cough*)
