I can see no intolerance in this statement. Peoples should keep in mind what religion is and what they are doing. And they should remind yourself what's wrong and what's right before they judge about peoples without or with another religion or philosophy of life. And no religion has done this in history (except the vikings)!!! And so i repeat: religion is no fun!

And that's a topic for Metallyrics from beginning on(Black Sabbath, Venom, Slayer, Bathory).

We should keep the real vision to decide for the right way.

I have my own thoughts, my own beliefs and ideas. There´s nothing someone in a band can say that will make me start waving a Nazi flag, burning churches, believing in their ideas / propaganda or whatever.

You mention that the racist bands take themselves serious... well, maybe they do. So do some Satanic bands, gore bands and christian bands. What matters is if the LISTENER takes them serious. I don´t. Therefore if they want to express themselves in that manner and play kick ass Metal then I´ll listen to it.

You also mention that racist bands cannot be compared to Satanic or gore types ? Why not ? You also mention that someone wouldn´t go out and rip another apart or start a Satanic church yet it is no different when I hear a band singing about something racist. I´m not going to suddenly turn racist just because someone sings about it. I have enough working braincells to think for myself.

I have read the 100 facts stuff and I actually think it was pretty interesting. As the author said in the beginning, it wasn't meant as a racist statement. As far as I could see it was all facts, except for the one lie, which I didn't find. Did any of you? I haven't checked out the sources, but if it's facts, it's true. Not saying "Hey, I'm white and therefor superior to blacks", as I think racism sucks big time, but if the fact is that all the tests ever done have proved that whites are smarter than black there's not much I can say to that. I don't know if I sound racist to you? That is not the case though! I think you should judge a person by who he is and what he says and not something as his looks. Some people might think I'm a jerk too because of what I look like even though they don't really know me.
I once listened to hip hop and some of the rappers are pretty racist and shit with "White people suck" and all that! I didn't really care, as I never listened to the lyrics. I you said a rhyme I would have a hard time placing it, as I only listened to the beats!
But anyway, I don't care what bands sing (or scream) about either. It's not up to me if I like the music. It's not my "fault" that I think a lot of Lee Hazlewood's music is superb. I can't help the fact that I like Burzum. If the lyrics are shitty - too bad! I can't shut out something that I like because I don't have the exact same opinions as the guy(s) who made the record. Noone has the same opinions in the whole world!

True! But a lot of metal heads aren't that way. I have commented on this before, but wouldn't you agree that you don't really see satanists and such outside the metal environment? Why? Because they listen to metal! I must admit that I was the same way 6 years ago! Well, I didn't like satanism, but I had a great interest in Northern mythology. I would never have had that if I didn't listen to black metal! Nowadays I'm not like that anymore. I listen to more or less all kinds of music and have a "freer mind" if you can call it that. I have changed, but I once was the classic interpretation of a metal head.
A lot of other people wouldn't have been interested in satanism and such if it hadn't been for metal! As simple as that! Whether you are one of them or not, metal has a great impact on many people. Whatever people put out a lot of people will eat it raw!
It's the same thing with sampling! Everyone I have talked to outside the electronic "environment can't see what's so cool about people who can't play their own instruments and write their own songs and therefor has to tape over other peoples records. The only people who think it's cool is the people listening to music where samples has been used! It's the exact same thing!

Oh yeah, I forgot to comment some of the 100 facts stuff. I think the stuff about India, Tahiti and so on maybe could have been spared. I didn't find that as interesting as the other facts and they seemed more racist like and just putting down un-aryan people!
The beauty thing was not really a fact! As with more or less anything that surrounds us, looks is a matter of taste. I live in Denmark and I would say that Scandinavia has the best looking women in the world, but if I were to put together a top 10 of the best looking women they would more or less all be Americans (except for Heidi Klum (Germany) and Adriana Sklenarikova (Chech Republic I think). The "white is more beautiful" is a matter of taste as well. If you ask me Tyra Banks is the best looking woman in the world, so what does that tell you? Taste is different and there's no wrong or right. I have a weakness for black women, but that doesn't make me less intellegent. By the way, some people say that you can't measure intellegence. I think of myself as fairly intellegent and got 110 in an IQ test I took a couple of years ago at school. The "brain" in my class scored 148 if I'm not mistaken.

Nah, I don´t really agree with your point. There are multitudes of real Satanists who listen to Classical Music and actually think that Metal is immature or simply do not like it. Perhaps the reason you do not see them is because they are seriously into Satanism and are not using it as a vehicle to set themselves apart from "society" as so many of these young kids try to do.

Unfortunately there are a lot of weak minded people out there... and THAT is what we have to watch out for (and educate if possible)... not musicians speaking their mind on an album...

I'm not too fond of any certain religion/race. The mass are annoying enough as it is, no need to add in another factor. But when you say "Fuck Racists" you come off like Jerry Falwell, wanting to start up the inquisition again. And unless he/she is sitting in a seat with a gun pointed to his/her (don't want to be politically incorrect and forget a gender now, do I?!) head, I'm not seeing the brainwashing factor. It is their own choice if they become interested and adopt racial beliefs. I know there are quite a bit of shock-value racists out there, which couldn't give a good excuse for breathing, let alone racism. And how you can say "Fuck racists" and not say fuck satanists, fuck muslims, etc. is a bit odd. It's the same concept. One group hating another group of people because of their beliefs, race, or whatever may be the case.

By the way, where is your big excuse for hating them? I see the same "brainwashing" MTV media trash coming out of you. Different sides of the same coin.
 
the harm in hateful lyrics, both in metal or hip hop, isn't necessarily a danger to people who are reasonably intelligent and can coherently state their opinions in a logical way (like most of the people here). but you've got a pretty sizeable population of really dumb people out there, who will take this shit seriously, on both sides of the color line. they want to have someone to hate and feel superior to, because their own pathetic lives and self esteem are so low they have to elevate their own psyches by putting someone else down.
this also goes for the misogynist lyrics. I've had as much reason to be pissed at individual women in my life as anyone, but I don't allow myself to hate all women just because I've been fucked over by a couple of them. :lol: I'm not saying everyone should be politically correct all the time, I'm just saying beware of the stupid, for they are more dangerous than you know, because they won't think for themselves:eek:
