Radiohead Vs Porcupine Tree

why is it blasphemy? sure King Crimson was a very important band back in their day for quite a few reasons, and a very quality act as well. But what real relevance do they have at this day and age? Compared to Tool anyway...not much. Youd get nowhere near the same turnout for the bands seperately...even back in 2002 or so when this took place.

well its not about tool vs king crimson when it comes to forming a bill for a show or concert. thats all im saying. i definitely take KC over Tool, i dont think anyone here would think otherwise.

I think the point was that KC are that influential that they really deserve to be past the point of opening for ANYONE. That was how I felt, anyway. I have no doubt Tool would attract a higher turnout. 5000 people came to see them when I was there the other day.

i very well know why kc opened for tool, you didnt need to explain that. but it's really...err...disrespectful, blasphemous all the same.

i mean opeth and in flames and all the rest are very big and popular bands but the headliners/the greatest acts at a tour or festival are still metallica, slayer or dio. i was eally surprised even back in 02 (wasnt it in 03?) when i had heard about this tour even though i was a huge tool fan.

I realize there are probably threads regarding this, but for some reason the search option isn't working right nowand I am not about to go through a myriad of threads to find out. And yes, I tried twice.

Anyway, if so, what is your favourite Radiohead cd? I like OK Computer.

I was introduced to them about a year ago, and have been hooked ever since.

I fucking love Radiohead and their albums Ok Computer and Hail to the Thief are my favorite. Ok Computer will go down in the history of music as one of the greatest albums of all time (plus in my oppinion also Blackwater Park goes there to). And Hail to the Thief was just all the best elements of Radiohead put together in one album. Cant wait for their new one!

Radiohead used to be my favourite band for a very long time, until I heard Opeth that is, but I still think Radiohead is an absolutely fantastic, original band. My favourite album would be OK Computer, but I love all their albums (apart from Pablo Honey).

wrong forum to buddy

Why, because I am not talking about Opeth? Oh well. Deal with it.

I wish I had been introduced to them back in the day. The only thing of theirs I knew until about a year ago was Pablo Honey. Then I got a buddy into OPETH, and he gave me Hail to the Theif, which I almost didn't even listen to.

Actually... he was probably just trying to let you know we have a sub now for all Non-Opeth related music chat here and .........I'll move and merge this thread with an existing Radiohead thread there in a bit but I'm leaving this here for now so you can see it and know what will happen as a courtesy, ok?

Cheers! :)
