i disagree in every single point you mentioned! terrible vocals? i'd rather listen 24/7 to their vocalist than 2 minutes to S. Wilson! no expression of feelings? you just don't get them. i receive lot's of feelings from their music. well, to each his own.

k, but i'm always pretty honest about my opinions and that is what matters, i hate Riverside and that makes me feel good inside.

I think that Opeth would be a more appropriate comparison to Riverside than PT TBO....I hear more similarities between Opeth minus the growls and Riverside than I do PT...esp in the clean vocals and the middle-eastern flare to some of the passages....SLS is pretty damn good but some of the songwritting is a little pedestrian....and has sort of a "been there done that" feel to it...I think they warrent watching as I think they have the capabilities of putting out a masterpiece or they could fade into obscurity....

I love both bands. SLS is better than the first Riverside IMO. It was one of my favourite albums of 2005.

But I like PT better, considering their amazing catalog.
