RC June Lunacy (Lilies Once Black)

Firstly, I never agreed that Treblinka was black metal. Ever. I just tried to explain it off.
I never heard it until now, and it obviously is dm(same song....der). They were probably slapped in a black metal stable BECAUSE of the image and lyrical content(which wasn't AS apparently death metal at that time).

Edit: Wait... you don't recognize EITHER of those tracks? What kind of fucking rock do you live under.

The kind of rock that I explained earlier as:

I usually don't hold onto tracks that have such production as I'm really OCD about that, but this shit is heavenly. Who the fuck is this?

So now Treblinka is death metal? BUT M-A CALLS IT BLACK METAL OMG WTF BBQ.

Holy shit do you suck.

Tell me because I don't want to download them to find out but I want to keep up on this enthralling debate.

edit: thanks :)

Jeez, how many times do I have to fucking repeat myself in this thread for you two fucking idiots?

I already explained that I referenced the metal archives to possibly bring attention to that ONE review stating Sumerian Cry was black metal. The consensus is fucking dm. This swedish douche-hole is the only human I've ever spoken to that argues otherwise.

You lose.....

The consensus also identifies Treblinka as Black Metal... The consensus is tripping over it's own feet!

Also, the swedish douche-hole isn't the only one. I say it's black metal, and there are many who agree... like Euronymous. And I think he knew a bit better than you (and the consensus) know.

So go die.

Fuck Euronymous.

Euronymous was in to all sorts of kinky shit. Matt,if your penitentiary plush toy ass were to walk in to Helvete in the early 90's, an iron latch will fall upon the thresh hold, barring your egress. He'd slither his pallid body towards you like a viper from Ilha da Queimada Grande, grab you by your dainty little wrist, and slam your head in to a support beam. Black as Mr. Marcus, bite the pillow, deathlike silence...

To lively this party up a wee bit, I asked Juck the Ripper what he thought, and here is the question and reply veeeery slightly edited (removed some irrelevant blabber):

Hell Mike said:
Om du får välja mellan death metal och black metal, vad skulle du då kalla Sumerian Cry? Man får inte välja ingen eller båda utan du måste välja ett av alternativen, gärna med en kort motivering, och jag tänker citera dig sen.
TRANSLATED:
If you can choose between death and black metal, what would you call Sumerian Cry? You can't choose both or none, you have to pick just one, preferably with a short explanatory statement, and I will quote you on this.

Death Metal!

Death Metal!

Motivated as follows:
To me, black metal sounds/sounded like Venom! The difference between black and death during the Sumerian Cry-period was mostly in lyrics and not so much that death and black were musically separated. With time the musical differences have grown, and today there's a heck of a lot of music that doesn't remind of eachother very much but are still lumped together as death or black. I guess Sumerian Cry is a conglomerate of death and black or simply death with more black lyrics.

From here on it's up to you peeps to decide how much of an authority on the subject he is.

This whole thread is fucking hilarious, I just can't help but chuckle at Eric's raging defense of the genre definition of Tiamat/Treblinka... ok, its also an ideaology thing as well, I know.

Then we have Plastic Napsack using Metal Archives as a "reference point"... which is worse than basing scientific research on wikipedia.

Never heard that album, but seeing how fiercely our own scrawny Herr Naziheim has defended it, it must be pretty fucking good, and therefore I'm going to order it asap.

also i'd like to say that the issue here isn't whether you can quote a million band members or "authorities" or whether you can argue your way out of a wet paper towel or not, the issue is DO YOU HAVE EARS? apparently most of you do not
