Relentless Reckless Forever (Out March 8th, 2011)

It's cool that people can once again use the word "beautiful" to describe Children of Bodom's music.

Because there was nothing beautiful about Are You Dead Yet and Blooddrunk.

Can't wait 'til they change the forum header and background too : )

I guess you could say that.

I for one really enjoyed AYDY and BD.

Sure, a thing doesn't have to be beautiful for one to be able to enjoy it.

It's like Nascar - since you're an american, then you surely looooveee Nascar, right? But most europeans hate it and would much rather watch WRC or F1 which offer beautiful locales and more interesting driving : )

Actually no...I haaaaateee NASCAR...it is IMO, the dumbest motorsport there is. I prefer the LeMans series races or MotoGP(which starts very soon...WOOT WOOT!!) or even F1 and WRC if a station broadcasts it here. I prefer to watch racing that involves more than just turning left and going full throttle the whole time.

But I get what you mean.

I can't stop listening to this album its just unbelievable. I even just downloaded the new Protest the Hero album and so far it pales in comparison to RRF. Every song is absolutely amazing its own way. NMF is just solid, SKO seems like the perfect blend of dark and light, RTtHaB is a heavier angels dont kill, PMS has that chorus that won't get out of my head, RRF is another solid song, Ugly is just so damn thrashy, CoTN was the one I looked forward to the most and it didnt disappoint, WIWI just has that party anthem feel, and NPTD is furious as hell.

Giving the album a 19/20 because I cant help but wonder what amazingness Alexi couldve made if they didnt go for WIWI.

heey,.. Every album has a bad song

the only thing that i have to complain about is the short running time of the album....but then again that was always like that with bodom albums...

It's the American perception of motor racing: see who goes fastest on a straight/oval, obviously has only a fraction of racing skills involved and an even tinier fraction of physics. I used to be much into F1 the past ten years but now I've started respecting Rally more as they don't just drive the same circuit.

Hell has frozen over, I agree with Joonas!?

Nascar is so fucking retarded that it just has to be an american thing. Drive around in circles? I have discussed this with a dude who has driven nascar and he said it is a huge adrenalin rush because of the high speed, sure, but I cannot see how driving around an oval really is exiting.

Also F1 was really entertaining about ten years ago when it was more about driving skills and such, nowadays because of the regulations it´s more like an endurance race of the manufacturer´s, the rules are so strict and the cars so equal that no overtaking or anything else interesting ever happens.

Rally(WRC) is cool. Those dudes drive so fucking fast on those narrow paths that it really does require skills. And their cars do resemble real road cars (unlike F1 or nascar where the cars have plastic bodies that kinda look like cars but underneath have nothing to do with road cars) It´s a shame that so many legendary (Peugeot, Lancia etc) manufacturers have quit WRC.

To add something cob related I´m gonna place a call about cobtv right now.

Later freaks.

Yeah, F1 was definitely more exciting like 7 or something years ago. The rules FIA added last year were simply retarded beyond comprehension. Why on earth would they ban in-race refueling. It makes the beginning so much slower and all the drivers are super careful about saving fuel meaning it's all so much slower. I hope they do something smart about it this year.

I used to watch WRC when they showed it here on Estonia, but then they started showing less of it on TV until it faded away. I think they finally cut the programming when the accident happened with Markko Märtin and his co-driver Michael Park died. Now I don't even know if Grönholm and Loeb are still driving.

Thanks for messing with CoB TV 4 :)

Some say NASCAR involves a lot of skill, but honestly where I'd ask? And it doesn't matter cause it is so fucking boring. About the bolded part - isn't it the purest kind of racing, by the way?:)

As for manufacturers in WRC mini comes in and there are very strong rumours about VW being about to make their WRC program public. With carlos sainz as a team chief etc, would be cool. I just hope they won't go with Polo but with scirocco!
great to see some motorsport fans here , cheers!

Yeah, for Americans racing is about high speed and accidents, but what else is there to see on ovals, they're more like dangerous, you just drive the oval and try not to lose focus or end up in the wall, while they entirely forget about the corners which is what racing should be about. Maybe a quarter of Finns have somehow ended up thinking F1 is about rich men driving in circles and don't understand those guys' physics and skills.

Also F1 was really entertaining about ten years ago when it was more about driving skills and such, nowadays because of the regulations it´s more like an endurance race of the manufacturer´s, the rules are so strict and the cars so equal that no overtaking or anything else interesting ever happens.

It was epic back then when the driving wasn't all about electronics and conserving tyres, it was about steering and pedals. It got pretty bad indeed around 2001 with the electronic aids and stuff. Now they just can't overtake because of the aerodynamics. They're now even considering wetting the circuits to spice up the race. Biggest problem is the new circuits, they're horrible. Now the tracks are built super safe, no fast corners which are the essence of racing I think. Kinda frustrating to have all those cool cars and fit drivers etc but no overtaking. Since my favourite driver went to WRC my excitement for F1 has cooled down quite a lot but I still check out the Race sum-ups.

I wouldn't mind if they threw ice on the track or rotten fish, but overtaking would be cool.

It's a shame the coverage of WRC is scarce and pretty unknown. I kind of figured last summer in France why a guy like Loeb comes from that country, the streets on the mounts are narrow and like challenging rally roads and sometimes there's no speed limit. It's kind of narrow-minded to think F1 has the world's best drivers when there's also WRC and MotoGP. Different animals of course. And for manufacturers leaving, Honda made the wrong choice leaving F1 for '10... I would've liked to see the Earth Dream win titles.
