I don't mean to be so off-topic here for the bands board but this is the first time I've been in a situation like this.

My friends and I just came back from bowling and went to Denny's(it's a 24/7 diner if not familiar). Well after like being there for 10 minutes or so it seemed weird our waitress hasn't come for a bit. So these two guys came in and put a gun to her throat and took what money was in the register and got out of there.

I was completely astonished hearing about this(we were on the other side of the register being covered by some fake plants). It was so weird we didn't even notice this happening. She came back to our table and we heard a sort of softer voice then she explained what just happened. It was crazy.

I am very proud of her though...she kept doing her job and didn't even leave. Police came and you know that whole business. I'm just glad my friends, and everyone else there didn't get hurt...(it seemed some were emotionally scarred, but even the victim didn't show this at all).

Well this is the first time for myself to be inside a place with this happening (that I know or was told of). So have any of you been in this situation or have anything similar happen to you?

Just sitting here trying to think it all out.

o, sounds like a scene taken from a movie. But comparing it to what happens in US, it must have been an ordinary day.

i was on school excursion, and while walking we saw some blond hair, pieces of broken glass and some blood. Police arrived later and collected the hair and took some other samples too. It must have been a rape and murder or something, from what we've heard.

Close call. People are absolutely crazy these days.

Commendable that your waitress remained calm and did her job, though. She deserves a pint, at least.

That sucks man, glad you are OK. I don't know how much you've seen in your part of the states, but I will tell you that I have seen some terrible shit in San Diego and Los Anglees counties: guns, near death beatings at parties, animal sacrifice, etc. I'm telling you the USA is one fucked up place right now.

Seems the waitress was just kinda 'in shock' and just kept tending, I'm pretty sure the emotional shock came later that evening when she was home and had the opportunity to think it all over again.

Anyway, seems like a weird, almost unreal situation, glad no people got hurt at least!
