I just got back from an advance screening of Shoot'em Up which opens this Friday.

Everyone must see this movie!!

This is the #1 movie in my top 5 of the year. :headbang:

I can't do justice explaining how awesome this movie is, it's like a ride at an amusement park. I'll just say that every action movie Die Hard with a Vengence, Casino Royale, etc, etc. all suck now. This is the kind of movie that makes you glad that you are alive to be able to see it, I have never seen a movie like this before. :worship:notworthy:worship:

This movie cheered me out of my post Dragoncon blues, it was probably more fun then I had all weekend at Dragoncon which is no small feat.

I won't spoil the whole movie but one of my favorite one liners is this "What's the difference between a porcupine and an expensive car? The pricks are inside the car".

I usually don't like this type of movies.. aha but this looks cool and Clive Owen usually selects decent roles..
I was thinking of checking it out.. ahah now I am sure I will check it out!

yea the previews gave off a theme similar to smokin aces, but a different story of course

im definitely going to see this now, sounds like it kicks some ass

Superbad >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Shoot'em Up

Superbad was a great movie and it was very very funny, but Shoot'em Up is like no other action movie you will ever see until it's imitated. Each movie would win best in it's genere for this year no questions, but overall Shoot'em Up wins, it has a baby in it that stops crying in response to heavy metal music or what passes for it in the movie, but hey it's the thought that counts :).

I really don't want to spoil it by explaing all the best parts, it's better to be surprised. Some parts I had read about already and was expecting them but seeing it visually still delivered a punch that words just can't convey.

wedding crashers destroys superbad

While I enjoyed Wedding Crashers, I haven't been a fan of the Vince Vaughn character since he started using the one from Swingers over and over again for all his movies. And whichever Wilson brother it was also tends to play the same character (at least he is better than the other brother though Old School was the better movie).

I've watched the preview to this, so I might check it out.

I'm curious what you didn't like about it?

My wife loved it, so it's not just a guy thing, but then we grew up in the 80's on movies like Big Trouble in Little China, all the Schwarzeneggar flicks, etc.

The reason this movie is great is because the action sequences and one liners are worth seeing it for, most all action films have the silliest dumbest plots but fail when it comes to action and only have 1,2, or 3 good sequences through the whole film and Shoot'em UP is all nonstop action sequence.

It's a fun ride, and this may not be your kind of movie but I think it's superb for what it is. I liked Shoot'em UP more then 3:10 to Yuma.

Most seem to either love Shoot'em up or hate it, it seems.
