Quo Vadis is more complex than the average death band, but they are not tech. I call them semi-complex. They certainly appeal to those of us who like intricate music but are not tech snobs who think only Cynic, WatchTower, Spiral Architect, and Spastic Ink qualify as tech.

My list of tech/complex/prog bands that I like is below. Their qualifications are debatable, of course, but they all qualify to some extent in my opinion.

Yeah, I think they're done. Henrik is with Scar Symmetry and Altered Aeon, and Peter is with Mekong Delta.

The Armageddon Theories is godlike. It would have been awesome to see TiP play live. :cry:
 
Sucks that Meshuggah wanted too much to play. They were awesome back in 2002 at Ozzfest. Definitely the best band on the opening stage...and only a (criminal) 30 minute slot, too!
 
Well Unexpect had one of the best releases last year. So they'd be pretty incredible to see at Chicago Powerfest.
