Show us your studio 2010 [room / racks / backline] - no setup to small !!!

Thank you!
The OBXa is a real monster, sounds like a massive space ship that rumble everything around, with a dark vibe. Each synth have is own sound, it's impossible to get those sounds with softsynth... maybe Arturia CS-80 and Moog are the closest if you put them through warm preamps. But the Obx havn't any close soft clone.
I'm really happy with this setup, I feel more creative than ever in fact!
The only thing I don't master is my own voice...working hard right now on singing to finish my songs and send an EP to labels...
But that's another story!

This was back when I finished the renovations...

Lookin' good! Big keyboards is where it's at! And hey TG-2 and Lynx Aurora! :D

Good luck with the CS50, I've been fighting the tuning on my 80 for the past two days.. oh joy.

@AKoppenheffer, didn't saw your studio, very cool place!
@Eduardo: Your amp room is my desk screen from the day you posted it!

@Vespiz, Tg-2 is really a great preamp, prefered it to the aurora audio gtq2 even if it haven't the stéreo eq and high pass... and now that I have the SSL eq/filters, I can't be more happy to make good tracking.
My CS-50 was tuned and restored but during the shipping the voice card moved a little and at the corner where it's attached to the frame, a connection broke; I had to test all the card to find what's the one who's broken, and finally solder and reinforce some part of the circuitry... those synths are so old! I think my 50 was made in 1976, so older than me by 7 years! Now it works well...
Good luck to tune yours with all the voices and osc it got! Must be hell, but it worth it. Can't wait to ear some of the tracks you'll make with it!

Can you tell us more about the other synths you have?

Holy crap I got the CS-80 in tune!! :yow: Was quite a bit easier once I read the adjustment procedure correctly..

CS-50 came out first. My CS-80 was made in March 1977, very early serial number.

Anyways, my collection: Akai SG01v, Nord Modular Rack, Nord Electro 2 61, Korg ER-1, Korg PolySix, Korg Symphony 03, Korg Triton Extreme 61, Korg Wavestation EX, MAM MB-33, Novation DrumStation, Roland RS-505, Roland R-8, Roland SH-2000, Roland XV-5050, Roland Juno-60, Yamaha AN1x, Yamaha CS-40m, Yamaha CS-80, WLM Hit (organ). Plus 2 MIDI controllers.

OK, enough with the synth wankery, more studio photos!!

@ CatharsisStudios: Cool live room!

@ neverpurify: The Maschine is really a good buy for me, you just have to really read the manual to find your best workflow. There are lots of great useable sounds in the sample library, pro sounding like those from Goldbaby or Sonicspecialists, but it's really for electro/D'n'B/Dance, it doesn't sound like SSD3.5! it sound programmed like an mpc, but you should already know that... Tweaking samples is a pleasure with this controller in maschine software mode, I really love it.
Pads are really good, and you can use then like a midi controller with plug-ins instruments like SSD or other.
But some things are missing atm, like time stretching, layering and tweaking severals samples in one pad to create your own "perfect kick sample" for exemple. But they are working on that at NI to get it right with the input of customers on their forum for the next update.
I discovered a trick to make layers another way: I just make a bar with the 3/4 pads needed trigged by midi in the pianoroll and quantized, let the loop go and tweak the samples on the controller while the sound repeats.

Last thing, it work well with some DAW but it's not easy to get it.
For example in Logic, i switch from software mode to controller mode on the maschine controller, to tweak samples and then record midi within logic with the pads (bypassing the maschine limited software sequencer). And when I want the sounds on separate tracks at the end for mixing, I choose rigth click and split midi by note, and after bounce to audio each one.

Until I discovered all those tricks, it was hell to do something fast and efficient with the maschine, and that's why there's all the bitching about it on the net. Once you really find your workflow and learn tricks, it's paradise fast easy, inspiring. Love it.

So learn what you can do with your sequencer and know the limits (no time stretching, no proper layering atm...).

Hope it helps!

Trx are great. They are made in turkey by Istanbul cymbal company. But have a nice mix of clean shimmer and Turkish wash/ explosion.

Posted before but redid all the acoustic treatment and got rid of the shitty Auralex foam. After filling the molding on the walls with loose burlap I haven't heard any clarity deterioration and it is much much more aesthetically pleasing. Between this and my new desk, I am finally satisfied with my control room. Just need to add some more modules into the Seventh Circle chassis now.

Thanks for the kind words, finally getting there.

Computer is on the back right behind the right side desk rack. Terrible place, but I put it back there and then ran all the cables, so moving it would be a couple hour ordeal. Right now I have to crawl on the ground to access the CD drive, but oh well.

OT: @AndrewPGlover -- Dude, "The Impaler" is set as my Alarm Clock.. that shit starts my day every morning at 6:30..
