Significantly more than 1000 things you've noticed about Dark Tranquillity -

835 - Brändström's UM nickname :):.:martinb) has a inverted version of the mysterious seven dots :.::
836 - The Dark Tranquillity Symphony seems to be a promising act, but would be completely irrelevant to the metal scene.

837: On the first ever DT tour, the members decided to complete a truly historic feat of metal significance and do the entire tour in a viking longship. After they missed their first show, only managing to row ten yards on the solid ground, they gave up the idea and instead crafted wings from molten wax and the feathers of chickens. Brandtstrom is currently worried, he may have the bird flu.

838: There was once a rumour that Niklas Sundin is infact a time traveler from the future, who brought Mikael Stanne to us from the past.

839: Mikael Stanne is a fake name chosen accordingly to protect his true identity.

840: Not that Jesus needs protection... he can shoot fireballs out of his eyes and stuff.

^^ haha LOL!

But still. don't compare Mikael with Jesus, Mikael is waaaaay much better.

841- Mikael is better than Jesus.

842- Every DT member is better than Jesus.

@Zack: Photomistress? :erk: What is that?

WOW he really does look a lot different now!!! Even though hi's hair looks all greasy and stuff :ill: , he looks quite kick ass!!! :headbang:

843. Stanne is a real name.

844. There is a lot of people in Swden called Stanne

845. In sweden you can't take on a surname that allready exsists

Really? interesting. Does that only happen there?

Well, if you marry someone you can always take their name, but you can't change to something that allready exsists if your anscestors weren't called that. You can make up your own name off course, but you can only change it one time I think.

Another thing you can do is call yourself Svensson or Johansson etc if your fathers name is Sven or Johan etc, or maybe Svensdottir or Johansdottir etc if you're a girl, but Stanne isn't a son or dottir (son and daughter) - name and their is alot of people called it. At least some...

Hmmm that's quite interesting, I didn't know until now what the -sson and -dottir stood for. heck I thought it was a plain name, but I always thought: "boy aren't there a lot of Johansson or Jonsons?'. AH! Just like Christopher Jonson (Therion). So if that's his real name his dad's name is probably Jon! Yay! :)

847- Dark Tranquillity change their opener often, but not their closer :(

well, no. most of those names have a really long history and we don't change with every new generation, so more likely his grand grand [insert another 45 "grand"] dad's name was jon. :)

also, most girls/women have

also, the "-son" surname is the normative one and only a few, relatively speakning, girls/women has changed to the "-dotter/dottir" version.

Tja... BOOOO! I was really happy that I was onto something, but not anymore :erk:

Well at least his great (*45) grandpa's name was Jon :p .

So you could say that the -son/-dottir thing is a way much cooler version of the US Jr.! Only of course the -son/-dottir was way before the Jr., so obviously the Jr. is a lousy ver. of the -son/-dottir.

-son/-dottir :headbang:

Jr. :puke:

:p

not if i haven't misunderstood how you use "jr". if i was named the same thing as my father i could be called "... den yngre" (the swedish version of "jr". no one uses it since a few hundred years ago or so, but still). however, there's no reasonable way to call me something with a "-son". it's simply a surname.

so i hate to ruin it even more, but you're probably closer if you just see it as the same thing as the -son surnames in the us (or wherever else). as i said, it doesn't change over generations, and these surnames probably have a similar history wherever they occur. the only difference is at some places (i think it's pretty common in for example iceland) there's a "-daughter" equivalent to the "-son".

848: One of the contradictions in the bible reads that 'Dark Tranquillity once opened with the final resistance'. It's a contradiction because it says the year was 484BC... And we all know beards hadn't been invented at that time.

Pass it on now, will yer?!

849. i was inactive in this forum and now im back (i never was THAT active but...lol)
849. i tried to read all the facts but...i got bored because it turned in UM DT's members facts (including me right now :p)
