Sludge metal. It's good;

Got tickets to Weedeater & Conan in about 3 weeks here and just found out last night that Ufommamut and Monolord are touring in October. Pretty pumped.

For me, Take as needed for Pain has been the most important album, and for that reason Eyehategod holds a special place in my heart. When I first heard it, I had never experienced something so bleak or devastating. To this day, I find sludge a great deal more terrifying and hard hitting than anything else.

I'm more of a Dopesick guy myself.

For some reason I'm not sure iver ever even heard Dopesick, I need to change that immediately.

Heh I remember hiding my copy of In the Name of Suffering from my parents when I was a teenager. Was scared to death they'd find it.

Ended up finding my copy of Molesting the Decapitated instead, probably worse...

If I were a parent and found a copy of Molesting the Decapitated in my child's room I don't know whether I'd be proud or scared.

I've been listening to a lot of High on Fire lately. Got De Vermis Mysteriis coming in the mail. Pretty sure that'll leave me with one album left for the band.

So I was overthinking yesterday listening to Profanatica and feel like there's a very strong sludge presence in their music. Anyone else feel that way?

Breathe dammit.
Been listening to a bit of Kongh and Horn of the Rhino lately. Oh and the new Grief album is soon upon us.
