There are soooo many of those. Check Mouth of the Architect and Men in Search of the Perfect Weapon.
Anyone, any more reccos on the post metal + sludge bands such as Intronaut and Isis?
Pelican - these guys are instrumental, but are absolutely fantastic.
They're basically one of the genre's founders....does the Melvins count? They're pretty much the only sludge band I like.
SourveinI am not knowledgeable on this genre. Can people recommend me the Eyehatesgod type of sludge?I like what I have heard from them.
Just the two songs they've made available, "Frost Hammer" and the title track. Songs are good (to my ears, at least) but the production is seriously dry.anyone hear the new high on fire yet?
Listening to Remission now. I'm a fan of all their material but I like them better when they sound like they're trying to break their instruments.& older Mastodon kicks my ass,
For the sake of double posting, I'd like to ask why various people started up all these subgenre threads when we already have Albums currently kicking your ass and the band recommendations forum.
