Haha yeah man you too, I've just been away from a computer for like a month, went to New Zealands biggest music festivial saw Tool live :loco: it was glorious.

Tool...that's fucking sweet
too bad Maynard doesn't paint himslef blue and perform unly in underwear with a banana in them anymore.

you saw tool live...you must have been so high*rimshot*

New Borknagar?
are you talking about Origin or is another one planned for 2007?

It's just speculation, but Asgeir posted this he will be playing on a new Borknagar album this year, so I hope an new one will come out this or early next year. :saint:

Other “projects” I’ll play on this year is new Ihsahn albums, a new Borknagar album and the already mentioned Thornbound debut.

Haha, well he was wearing a bright pink jacket and a cowboy hat with cowboy boots so it was still pretty crazy, plus they brought those massive video screens behind them so he wasn't in a silouette and I could see him clearly which is pretty lucky, Serj from system of a down came out and sang Sober with Maynard as a suprise, didn't even know he was in the country. Lined up 6 hours early to get in front :(, saw the killers too while I was waiting.

yeah...there are sounds in different languages that don't exist in other
å could be approached as aw or au or ah in english...it sounds basicly like the a in halt
ö(or ø) doesn't really exist in english...pronounced like french eu or the i in girl
ä(or æ) sounds like e in hell
ü(haven't seen this one in norsk or danish) sounds like the u in dude as opposed to oo in book

k followed by a dotted letter(ä,ö,ü) in swedish or by j in norsk is pronounced sh
so are some of the sk combinations like "sky" which means sky is prounounced like she
and Tj also sounds like sh and sometimes sj
the j is always soft(y sound) unless it's in a sh sound combination
in swedish sometimes o gives an oo(in enlish) sound...like in Nord or Skog or Son
and the w always sounds like a v
a is sometimes also pronounced a little like å only shorter...if it's followed by g or n...like dag or jag(in the jag case the g is almost silent) or dan.
ig sounds in certain cases like (mig did sig etc..) like mey, dey,sey while in other cases it has the normal ig sound like in trevlig
in some cases like fel the l is soft and sounds like fey

crash course

now try to pronounce Fångad utav nordens själ :loco:

I always thought that å is pronounced like o in basicly every other language than english. just like [o:] whilst o changes to an oo when it's stretched.
