1. Vocals sounded pretty damn good to me, I'd like to know what example you have of a better clean vocal done by any band of the same calibur...
Heres an exmple, damn near EVERY OTHER FRIGGEN MELODIC DEATH BAND WITH CLEAN VOCALS.

:p

This is the part where you name a few bands to back up your statement.

random smiley face to make myself look like more of a smartass than you. :D

R2R is one of the few innovative metal albums of this millenium, it`s the best In Flames have ever released and the next one will surely be even better...
Sell-out? I think not... They`re just incorperating the development of the 90`s into their music creating something new and unique...

Steve, I can be completely cool with that. You're at least giving R2R the credit it deserves.

As for the rest of the arguement, obviously we're not going to get anywhere... So I'm just going to drop out now.

Still haven't found anything to do huh? Sorry to hear. Moi? I'm busy with important things (you know, things that matter), sorry.

Dark Tranquillity
Soilwork
Dan Swano/Edge of Sanity
Opeth
Beyond the Embrace
Shadows Fall
Suidakra
Gardenian
Eternal Tears of Sorrow
Darkane
Divine Souls

Given not all these are melodic death but they all have harsh as well as clean vocals if anyone else can name some please feel free...

Ah, you mean things like making comments to other members of these boards to rile them up a bit?

I see, much more important.

Since I'm expecting another short quip from you, you might as well list these " important things "

that was my point when I told him that the forum over @hmas was a better one, but without him people are better off there I guess...

can we make a thread for all the pussys to cry in because no one else likes the shitty music In Flames makes?
Yup, last time I checked all you had to do to do something like that was click on the " new thread " button.

Magical.

i was just being a dick :)

but in all honesty, i don't think R2R is that bad.. it has it's really bad moments... and it's got it's really good moments. I'm sure the new album will have a lot more of these bad moments though... we'll see

And thats the problem right there. All of you people are already too sure that the albums gonna suck, your gonna go into it thinking that way, and your almost automatically gonna hate it. When listening to a new album you must focus on the good and forget about the bad.

As for the forum recommendation... Why would I go there when I'm already here? Unless that forum is infinitly better than this one.
As others have stated, you might like it better over there. This board is more volatile. People have their opinions and tend to harp on the ones that stick up for the "newer" In Flames here, but that's ok =). Since you are an avid In Flames fan and have more praise than criticism, I think you'd like it over at hmas.org. They are fun-loving In Flames fans. I am not knocking either board. I don't post on either one as much as I used to. Just a suggestion for you =)

reroute is one of the least unique albums by a death metal band EVER, its a bunch of pre-used nu metal riffs, and or techno keyboard beats, then anders screaming in a high screechy voice...the only good death metal song on that cd is #8

Dammit Clay, you should stay here, you're the only person on this board i'm at all aquainted with :D
I'll be around, but there's not much point on staying at a board where everyone just bashes the band it represents the whole time.
