Stems/Raws for Mix Practice Thread!

My first mix in over a year with Myroslav's Raws "Draw The Line"... Still has to work on it a bit, but my ears are tired right now. Took me longer than I would have liked, but heh, I'm trying to take back my workflow haha! Still has some issues with the vocals, mainly, and "mastering" consisted of only a limiter, so there might be some clipping happening. Other than than I'm pretty happy! Damn I missed it!

I took the opportunity I had to restart mixing stuff to experiment with stuff I wasn't used to do back then. It seems like I had some bad habits I had to lose back then!

i don't think you can find man! it's too hard to play tight metalcore in real drumset and if anyone do it, it won't upload raw tracks or it will not have the right equipment i think :p thats why everyone use midi drums for that genre..(and for fast stuff generally like deathcore, grindcore, death metal etc..)

Sorry dude but i have to say you´re wrong. And not everybody uses midi drums for this genre. Its not too hard if you practice.

I remixed CTC, I dont like this type of music but practice is practice...
I mixed on headphones as I am not in my studio.
If you got any ? then ask!

I honestly can't listen to this anymore. I listened to it in so many different places to see what was wrong that I grew allergic to it :p

I know everyone here seems to have an unhealthy obsession with FOP and Slate samples, so I figured this might help you guys out in your engineering journeys.

These are stems that include well tracked live drums (aside from midi kick), bass DI, guitar DI and re-amped guitar, as well as cleanly edited and tracked vocals. Keep in mind, cymbals and shells were tracked separately.

Here's a reference mix/master: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/70462707/Indecision 2.mp3
