Summer projects.

Loren Littlejohn

Lover of all boobage.
I haven't had much audio work lately, and honestly I'm ok with it because I'm pulling 60 hour weeks on the day job.

So we finally had a break in all this stupid rain so I got my deck started. There was a pool where that step down is when the former owner lived here. The electrical is still there and good to go so I'm putting in another one once this stupid deck project is done.

The railings were all rotted to shit so they came off as well and are getting replaced with something more respectable (the old shit was 2x4 with staircase style balusters and it was fucking ugly). There was 2 sections that were so rotted they literally fell off on the ground without help this past winter.

Can't wait to get my swim and grill on.

What you doin this summer sneapmeisters?

About to start a patch/paint job throughout a lot of the house I'm moving into, replacing all the doors, building a coffee table and entertainment cabinet, and remodeling two bathrooms for the studio area of the place. Cable runs through attic, small amp closet being built, new shelving and organization in our control room closet, and have added a huge 16 space KK Audio rack to the left side to inspire GAS to go wild.

I love doing DIY/house renovation type shit, but only once in a while. Anything more than 1 week of it a year is a pain in the ass, best to get it all done in one go and then be done with the construction zone for good.

I would have loved to hammer out the above project in a week (it is doable) but my shit schedule won't allow for it. That and the coating I did on the deck boards needs 24 hours of dry time for the first coat, 48 for the second and a week before I can put deck furniture back on it.

Their dry times not mine.

Also I can definitely say fuck going into the attic in the summer. I can't even imagine how hot it is up there today. I prefer attic projects in the fall.

this summer.... I'm being unemployed and playing guitar/packing the first/last 19 years of my life into boxes and moving to Brighton for uni

Next three years should be damn good, if anything because i'm finally getting out of this dead end town and in to somewhere with a music scene that's actually alive

I'm renovating our studio (flipped the monitoring 180°!) and when I can, I'm helping out at my parents' cottage. We built an extension deck/patio a few weeks back, some painting to be done, landscaping etc. A welcome break from sitting in front of the computer!

i just got hired on to my 3rd part time job so between that and all this other shit i'm doing i don't have much time for projects, but on my TO DO list is make some custom cables and like a drum loom and maybe an xlr patchbay for some stuff.

Yeah I'm rocking 3 jobs right now. 2 part times and a full time. The 2 part times are only supposed to be 10 hours a week a piece on top of the 37 hour full time. Eventually will be going down to 2 a week on one of the part times.

Needs to happen asap. I've gone 3 months without being able to say "I don't have to work today."

I'll be able to get the bass payed for though (bought from my cousin).
