Joey isn't short for Joe. Joe and Joey are short for Joseph, it's two variants you can use to shorten that particular name. Joey is the more juvenile of the two, used for children (I was 'Joey' when I was younger) and Joe is for a more mature person.

Well, you can't change her. Everyone has different tastes and if she likes music you think is bad, then let her. Hopefully she'll come to her senses but if not, just make sure she doesn't make you listen to that shit when you're with her.

Try introducing her to catchy, kickass metal bands though, like Shade Empire. Might take he back.
