I dont think its that, people are just didnt vote for RL because they figured they wouldnt have to and she would get through with no problems, whereas Casey fans knew they had to vote or she was gone, because she wouldnt have won any new voters with her performance.

I agree with what Spawn just said.
Out of the 12, I thought Ricki-Lee and Anthony would be the final 2 without question, as they are easily the best performers and the best singers. I'm not sure how much I like Anthony, but now I really want him to win as he is so far beyond the others in terms of talent. I also really like Courtney, and he is a muso so it would be good to see him do well, but he shouldn't win. I think he would do well to come in the top three or so, then go and get his band with his brothers signed.
Ricki-Lee will have a career, no doubt. At the end of the show when everyone walked over to talk to her, Dicko was probably telling her not to worry as he had a contract in his back pocket. She will be looked after.

When he sang 'The Reason' on the wild card show, he showed how good he can be. When he sang 'Ignition' on the pop show, he showed it wasn't a fluke. Last week he showed he is one of the best, and everything in between was decent.

Apart from last week I dont think he has done anything amazing im afraid. Courtney is better than him, I do think Hayley is a little better than him also actually, and Casey is usually ahead of him as well, apart from Sundays abberation.

I dont want Anthony to win because I am afraid that he will release very similar stuff to Guy. Out of the rest, I think Courtney would be a great winner. He will write his own stuff and have a bit of rock/blues etc. It will be different to every other Idol winner from both Oz, and the US

Well I dont think the album is going to be anything other than pop fluff pretty much, the albums already done and they are just waiting for the winner to record it, Guys was done in 6 days

I think Anthony matches the style the album will be recorded in. Courtney may be a great singer, but come on, a pop star he is not.
Then again, getting this far can be great for their careers... look at where Shannon Noll and Cosima are now. Mind you, I'd like to see at least one of the finalist actually release and ORIGINAL song and not a cover as their first single... doubt it will happen though

I think Courtney is great, but I think he would be better off doing his own thing, using the competition as a platform, rather than actually winning.

Yep... That is all true. So pretty much I think the best result for Courtney would be to come 2nd. That gives him maximum time for exposure on the show and to build a steady fan base, and also pretty much guarantees him a recording contract. He then has the freedom to do what he wants, write his own songs etc.
In reality, Anthony is probably the best choice for a winner of Australian Idol. I think if Chanel won, then she would definately fade within 2 years or so like Scandalous or Scott Caine. She is not strong enough I dont think. I don't think any of the others have tha much chance of winning

Seriously, what is that fat chick doing in the comp? It's a competition about finding a popstar, talent doesn't count, aesthetics do. She is incredibly grotesque, to the point that there isn't enough beer in the world to get me to shag her. They obviously only let her through so the fat people had someone to vote for. Like Guy Sebastian will be huge in ten years Sprucey, come on, its the nature of the show, it is always going to be pretty hard for them to have a career after winning AI. They can just cash in, set themselves up for life and ride it until they are suddenly playing pubs and then realise its time to give it up

Yeah true... But I think Guy sebastion has more of a chance of surviving for a few years compared to Bardot, Scandelous, Scot Cain, Kane whatever the fuck his name was from Popstars live, or even Chanel (If she were to win).
The debut single from his second album went straight to number one, which wasn't done by any of the above. He actually has musical talent which I think could set him up for a few years. The others could all sing (to a degree... Scott Caine was woeful), but Guy can write, arrange, play and sing great

Cosima's a one-hit wonder I'm afraid. She had to pay for her own album to come out because no one wanted to release it. That says a lot. Shannon will fade soon too when the next AI is crowned and people realise that he's not very good. Guy might move into songwriting and production if his actual singing career stagnates, but he could always go into the Christian pop market. He would do well there. That said, I think that Ricki-Lee could be a huge star, bigger than all of them put together.
