I'm surprised so many people are pickin' Exodus. I'd probably rank them 6th given the bands listed with Sodom, Kreator, Metal Church, Overkill, and Artillery above them.

Alright. I love Anthrax and have said this many times before. However, they are truly the weakest link out of the four and in their place I would pick Overkill or Testament instead.

and look at the choices?! Overkill great band but they didn't influence other bands... Metal Church I have never considered a thrash band but they too were a great band at on point.

Time frame of an album release should be irrelevant. It should be judged by overall album quality, influence, and longevity of a band IMO.

Bonded by Blood is a better quality release than most of what the other bands put out IMO

Dude, I'm sure Overkill (at least their first few albums) have influenced SOME bands.

Looking at it again: The only one that comes close is The Legacy, but it's a distant second.

Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth has one of the most distinct/recognizable voices in thrash metal.

Kreator is probably the only other band with the potential to take that spot.

I think Artillery - By Inheritance is better along with a couple others on the list.
