So we have a thread for tasty snacky treats, but how about full-on meals and stuff?

I've become a MASSIVE cooking whore in the past few months, I can't seem to stop making chilli, rice, curries and anything involving bacon.

Ha ha...I used to love the food network when I had cable.

I don't have too much variety but I can grill up a good steak or salmon fillet! I usually compliment it with rice and a frozen vegetable. I have Never been a big fan of salads. I am also a big fan of preparing breakfast for dinner since it is easy to prepare. During the cold months I like to have bacon wrapped baked potatoes! You can't go wrong with bacon.

Salads are fucking shit, fuck salads. Vegetables and fruit is all well and good, but fuck salad.

Sadly, I'm a bit shitty when it comes to certain foods - even though I love steak, I can't eat it. I was vegetarian for the best part of a decade (I was young and stupid, leave me alone) so I can't keep down steak, or any really chewy meats for that matter (so shit like pork chops are out of the question, but roast lamb I'm good with). I'm pretty much the same with a lot of fish too, so I stick almost religiously to chicken and bacon with the mandatory slabs of minced beef thrown in.

Even the smallest, simplest of things are fucking good though. I once tried a 'biscuitwich' that was composed of two Rich Teas, a slice of mature cheddar and a bit of tamato puree. Sounds horrible, but it's fucking amazing as a side with curry.

This thread is now about bacon.

I like to cook, I just don't do it very often. I do plan on making chili for the Super Bo- ........ Er, "The big game". Not because of the game mind you, I really don't give a damn about that, but I'm off that day and I haven't made any in a pretty long time.

I've only had curry once or twice I think, and the first time it made me sick. Not to say that I don't like it, it just didn't agree with me. I agree with the fact that salads are pointless though.

Come to the right place then haven't you, hahaha!

Anyone who enjoys gorging themselves stupid (or just loves bacon) check out Epic Meal Time on Youtube too. It's basically food porn.

Nice thread. A sandwich maker myself unfortunately, and even still I'm picky with what I eat. I would like to learn how to cook chicken, fish and vegetables soon, but even if I wanted to, I'll probably get grounded for doing something simple as touching the vegetable oil. I know how to make coffee though, if that counts.

Personally though? I find myself a little more interested in baking than I do cooking. I have a bit of a sweet tooth, and I'm an insane chocolate addict.

In Grade 10 I used to watch that channel so much. One of the meals they made I actually wanted to try (it involved cheese I think)...

...also, I think bacon is overrated.

Yeah omfg! so much bacon and Jack Daniel's in that show. I watched this episode where they make a fast food lasagna and got so hungry.

Unfortunately i live in a small town and we don't have Mc Donalds here. DAMN YOU EPIC MEAL TIME!!!

Again, I spend a majority of my time living off rice these days with very little else making its way into my diet - if I'm out drinking (rare these days) then I'll get a chicken fajita sub from Greggs or something, a pizza on very special occasions, and once a fortnight some chilli con carne with my meal. But rice and some pasta (mostly tortellini) is pretty much the only thing I eat anymore. And that's by choice, for some odd reason - hell, I've only eaten bacon once this year and that was right near that start of the month.

...Am I a bad person?

Grilled Salmon and Rice with some teriyaki sauce is my go to meal. I usually have it a couple times a week! I ended up grilling up a couple steaks this weekend to go along with baked potatoes and a frozen vegetable.

I used to love fast food...Wendy's or McDonalds, but it is cheaper for me to buy a steak from the grocery story than to buy a value meal at a burger joint.
