The Dinner Pictures Thread

I really want to eat this. How did you make the broth?

Cook the noodles ahead and set aside.

6 cups of water
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 chicken bouillon cubes
Fresh ginger (1/4 cup roughly) cut big enough to remove.

Bring everything to a boil then simmer for 15 minutes or so. Skim off the ginger. Add fresh or even canned mushrooms, green onions, and extra firm tofu and it's ready in a couple minutes. Top with the fresh cilantro. I use a lot as I'm a junkie for the stuff. Super easy and really refreshing.

You may be able to leave out the bouillon but I haven't made it without it yet.

I would add a little veggie bouillon perhaps.

Sounds super easy though, I'll give it a try sometime.

Veggie bouillon sounds like a great addition.
I;m going to try that soon too!

Seriously. It tastes like soap. Coriander too.

ahhh, you have such a euro taste pallet ;)

have you ever had Turkish coffee with Coriander seeds in it?
It's amazing (it's called Hel LOL 'hell')
Next time any of you go to any middle eastern restaurant and they have Turkish Coffee ask for it with 'Hel' It's amazing and it's the true way people drink it 'over there'

and ginger is just pure awesome!!!!

David, I need to cook for you!

Ah, but I don't drink coffee. I love the smell, but find the taste to be disappointing. If they have such a thing with tea, then I'll give it a whirl :)

David, I need to cook for you!
I will hold you to that!

It tastes delicious, you must have that genetic defect where it tastes wrong. You all wouldn't be able to stand Mexican food. Delicious, delicious Mexican food.
