The Fathomless Mastery Reviews - What do you think about it?

Overall the lyrics in TFM are dealing with anti-christianity, but the last song "Wretched human mirror" remids me of the old gory days, lyric-wise. Nice move.

Edit: and BTW, I'm topi från finland. Nice to see y'all :)

Very sexy. Has a much different sound than the older bloodbath but keeps everything important intact...brutal, yet catchy death metal. Sick album imo, havent rounded out which tracks are my favorite yet.

The Fathomless Mastery Review - Fun times!!

I was sent this review, don't know where it's from but it's pretty cool!

BLOODBATH - The Fathomless Mastery

"When you hear this it'll reveal
how worthless most death metal
really is beneath all the muscle
and gore. Featuring Opeth's
Mikael Åkerfeldt and Anders
'Blakkeim' Nyström from Katatonia, Bloodbath are
metal's wet dream and 'The Fathomless Mastery'
is their wicked spawn. 'Hades Rising' is a chugging
behemoth that shifts from lumbering beast to midnight
black Nordic assault, 'Drink From The Cup Of
Heresy' and 'Mock The Cross' are both brilliant. The
half-time passage in 'Slaughtering The Will To Live'
breaks up the tornado flow, emphasising how no
note, beat or smoky growl is played unnecessarily.
All of those new deathcore bands you've been
reading about have gone to their rooms to practise
because Daddy is home."

That's from Mikael's myspace blog, so now I assume he also didn't know it came from Rock Sound.

I'm starting to change my mind about not liking TFM as much as the other releases though. NMF is still at the top for me, but the rest I can't put in any list of preference, they are all awesome in their own way. What I'm especially starting to like more and more about this new album is how much sicker it is, gives me the chills in a good sexy way
