The Gaming Thread

best game ever !
although the graphics was'nt that good even by 1997 standards(think that's when it was released) the feeling of speed/driving fast in the game is beyond awesome

lol worst moment in a game of all time just happened to me in battlefield bad company 2
so i decide im taking this assault point, gonna destroy the comm center
so i rush up and activate the bomb
of course the other team swarms on me since im alone
so i turn around kill someone
50 points
turn back around and kill another guy
50 points
jump up and run at a third guy, kill him
50 points
guy runs up and finishs me off
no problem, the comm center is near to exploding
as i die though, the server switches my team, as someone quit and there were too many people on my team, so i was switched to balence it out
comm center blows up
-250 points for "destroying my own comm center"

Complete and utter pwnage. I don't approve of any of these systems that attempt to balance out games mid game. I was playing some Left 4 dead 2 a couple weeks back and was in a group with quite a few good team mates that actually all listened to each other, etc. We're dominating the other team, completing each round to the safe room with near full health and health packs to spare, yadda yadda. Get to the last round, they all rage quit...and it switched me over as the only player on the other team with a 3000 some point deficit I helped build against that team -_-.

friend of mine lent me dead space 2, currently playing on very hard (whatever the hardest difficulty is, zealot i think)

fucking awesome game, looks like they kept it all the same and just made improvements all over the place and added more guns. this difficulty is perfect too, just enough to keep you scared and dying. im already on chapter 6. fuck i cant imagine playing on easy though, i dont even understand how that could be fun

I don't know, the game was 10 times harder than the first for me. Zealot is the mode you're on, which is the equivalent of Impossible mode, in an over all more difficult game. After that it unlocks hardcore mode in which you can only save the game 3 times, but the difficulty is more around normal - hard rather than Zealot, just with Zealot resource drops.

Personally I had to drop the game down to hard somewhere around chapter 10, I got stuck in a save with 3 shots and would die from one hit, right before few large waves of necromorphs come in an enclosed area -_-. Went back and beat zealot on the second play through.

But yeah the game was great. I regret not doing the hardcore mode run, I was renting from gamefly and decided to get it back to them to get bulletstorm as near release as possible.

how is bulletstorm? the demo didnt really impress me, kinda seemed like an over the top version of "the club" (which wasnt bad)

but yeah im on chapter.....6 or so, its rough. my friend lent it to me, so i might try hardcore mode

I really enjoyed Bulletstorm. Fresh mechanics, and actual fun fights. The multiplayer is pretty sexy as well, an advanced version of horde mode where you have to work as a team to pull off even more ridiculous skill shots.

i dunno about it, it looks like it has potential but it sorta looks like it could end up another hit XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX to kill enemies

also, beat dead space 2, excellent game, may play through hardcore after exams
