The Gaming Thread

TBH I have really hoped that Witcher 2 wont come out on the consoles. Why? Witcher 1 was a harder and longer game, because it wasnt supposed to be on consoles. Now, they originally wanted to make the new one on consoles, so they shorten the game and make it a little bit easier.

But it's still a good game, a little bit too short, and the ending is without fireworks, but its decent, ive seen worse in my life. Really good piece of gaming experience.

Well guys, the time has finally comes down off my PC tower and invest in a PS3. I need some recommendations on some awesome games that I might have forgotten but must play! Obviously Demons souls and Dark souls will be high on my list, although I don't know if I'll doing Multiplater.

^The Demon's servers are down I think. Dark Souls is set up so you can have a very similar experience offline, so you won't miss too much there.

If you end up on PSN....Little Big Planet 2 is awesome. Yeah, I said it.
Infamous 2 is fantastic from what I've seen. My friend loved it.
Uncharted 1 and 2 are awesome...kinda like a faster paced Tomb Raider without the huge distracting tits.
New Mortal Kombat was bitchin. If you're not going to buy it, at least rent it and sate your gore lust.

Did I miss anything guys?

^demons souls servers are extended until 2012. and yes both games are worth it. its like they took an old nes RPG and beefed it up to a PS3, it's so much fun, so few checkpoints, and such a fucking hassle

god i love it.

lol i still have not found a guy to sell me spells, mine are decent, although im thinking i will have to grind for souls now. i just looked up where to find one......normally i wouldnt but fuck i need some better spells!

i would definitely pick up ninja gaiden sigma for PS3, i bought it say 7 months after launch and it is still one of my favorite games for it. if youve played any metal gear solids.....well 4 will probably be the greatest game of all time for you haha. i find there are less and less exclusives this gen, but those are the ones i can think of off the top of my head. oh yeah and god of war 3. i dont care what anyone says, that game was the best in the series. undeniably epic......unless i suppose your expecting a game that is not at all like previous god of war titles

as for non exclusives i would say borderlands, mercenaries 2, assassins creed

^Red Dead was AWESOME. The Darkness was a solid play...I love the comics. The Resistance IP is built on a solid idea, but the execution is meh (imo). I got bored of the first two titles after a short time and never finished either. But that's just me, my girlfriend adores the games and I've heard plenty of good reviews.

If you haven't played the God Of War trilogy, they just put out all three games in a pack for a decent price...pretty epic adventure games.

Also...Skyrim comes out in a couple weeks:D

Excellent. I also plan to pick up the Resistance games (well one for now, then we'll see), The Darkness and Red Dead Redemption

i can say that the darkness is really excellent. i actually bought it for like 5$ at ebgames so id check there :D. beat it twice so far, i really liked the way it was done. the combat isnt the best......but its so much fun. trust me nothing compares to running up to a guy and sticking your gun in his mouth and blowing his brains all of the place. or biting peoples face off and ripping their hearts out with your demons

the first resistance i own, i liked it quite a bit (it was my first game and the only one i owned for a while). from what i understand killzone is good too.....although i played the first one, thought it was mediocre (was shocked they made a sequel, much less two). the second was honestly so boring i couldnt finish it. its just....i dunno lifeless and heavy.

How is your Dark Souls playthrough coming isolation years?

im doin alright, level 25. just got to the depths (need better pyro magic) and im also trying to beat those fucking bell tower monsters. god i hate those assholes . the bosses and everything in this game is so fucking hard, but i just cant stop playing it. also got a (questionably) rare helmet from the armor bull or whatever its called (lol invited a phantom into my game and he just kills it like nothing, makes me wish i was a better melee charecter, i fucking suck at riposte)

^also, to add on (just increasing my post count :)), i love how the manual is like 5 pages (and another 5 for french). like its basicly saying "heres the controls, when you run out of health you die, dying will make the game longer........oh and btw your fucked!"

They literally give you zero direction. They just send you off and say here...don't die. The armor tusk killed itself in my game lol. I pissed it off with a fireball and dodged it's charge, then it leapt back into one of the fires and it burned to death  The depths were fucking intense. So were a couple of other areas I won't spoil for you.

I bought an official guide for my second playthrough and it's hilarious to read about everything I missed...it's quite an expansive game.

 yeah its awesome, dunno where to go after bell gargoyles, could go to the depths, or the darkroot place, or the many things below the main place.

haha cant wait to see where this goes

P to the C sir.

That is correct. I'm still always going to go PC if the option is there, especially in a game like Skyrim where modding may take up more of my time than actually playing the game:lol:. I might actually release some of the mods I do to public like I used to when I was in highschool and actually had tons of free time.

With the new PS3 I'm only really interested in games that are not available on PC. I have a nice list going now though, I'm pumped to empty my wallet out on it.
