Final Fantasy 6 and 9 were easily my favorites. 7 was interesting and had a good story for most the part but just didn't grip me as much as the other games character-wise.

I played Vagrant Stories, but I wasn't that good
I guess FFVII is kind of overrated, but it was one of the games that really stuck with me when I was younger. I liked FFVII and IX as well, and FFVI is definitely one of the best in the series (though I could never get those button combo attacks for the one character, so I always fucking died)

I played that game when i was younger (tried to get through it a few times) and completely sucked ass. I went through it again about a year ago and got pretty far (almost finished it) but stopped for some reason. I was trying to level-up Cloud.

I just beat this game and once you get about 75% through the game it becomes REALLY easy. I skipped most of the subquests though.
