I don't see the point in them. You get the same stuff you would get from a jewel case (cd and booklet) but instead of strong plastic it's weak cardboard. What's the sense of it?

I hate when you buy a CD, only to find the part of the case that goes in the center ring of the CD is all cracked off.

I bought Hell Awaits new, and the center thingy crumbled upon removal of the disc.

"weak" cardboard is better for the environment. =P

edit: My jewel cases break and crack much more frequently than any of my digipacks.

Sometimes you drop them(you think you will not) or bring them somewhere else and bam broke.

Unless I loan them to friends my cd's stay put in my cd shelves once I have uploaded them to itunes. The only cracked cd's I own are the ones I bought used.
