Yes, and with the exception of some questionable stop-animation toward the end, it's probably my favorite. I don't know how any horror fan can say the mattress scene "sucks" in any capacity. It's a classic.

I finally came around and watched The Thing 2011, DAMN it was awesome! I loved it!
Best prequel ever?!

^ I loved the movie. The only complaint I had was that it felt more action-oriented than the original. After a certain point it was constant. I liked the pace of the original, you never really knew when something was going to happen.

The effects were fucking awesome though.

I will absolutely give you the mattress scene...awesome. The movie as a whole? Meh. Not so much.

Looks good man.

Definitely excited about it. Wakewood (the other movie out recently by the newly reformed Hammer Films) was pretty good, so I expect similar quality.
