In Flames attempted death metal at a point in their career?

attempted if not achieved it. most of their early stuff bores to me to tears so much I haven't bothered to analyse it. Soundtrack to your escape though is up there with Burn my eyes for cheesy pop metal greatness

Whoracle is pretty good
Clayman aint that bad, but not very good either.

And that was it. All the other albums are boring.

I still consider Embody The Invisible a very kickass song. I dont remember if there is anything else that is good on Colony, though i have tried many times. I just actually never remember, since the boring parts that mostly dominate that album allways reflect my attention back, because its...uh...it doesent sound like anything at all.
