Couldn't be arsed searching for the old thread so...

I just The Mist, Stephen King's new movie.

The night after a savage storm hits a small town a strange mist rolls in - of course the mist is no ordinary mist - strange creatures dwell within....

This movie will make you think, a lot! The ending is terribly sad and is not at all like the one his novella. Easily one of the greatest horror/psychological thrillers I've seen. Damn, it was tragic and having the Dead Can Dance track Host of Seraphim(one of my favourites of theirs) close the films final minutes was perfect!

I don't get to the theater very often anymore, but I do get a few dvd movies delivered to my door via Quickflix every month.

There's an older movie thread started by some really awesome dude, but anyway....

I saw that Keanu Reeves film, Street Kings, the other day. It was pretty good actually.

I tried to see a film at the German Film Festival called The Counterfeiters the other night, but it was sold out!

I use Bigpond movies. The only issue I have with it is that the web interface is terrible, the way you have to rearrange the "queue" to see what you want reasonably close to when you want is fucked, if you're waiting for a series they send episodes in all kinds of mixed up order, and you never know when you're going to get what. But apart from that, it's ok.

Oh yeah. The last movie I watched was Vacancy which wasn't too bad even though the holes in the plot were big enough to drive a truck through.

^Vacancy was alright, I'd recommend it to someone for sure, for a night in front of the box. It was a cool (and terrifying) idea but got a wee bit silly as it went on.

I used it for a while.
Soon after they changed their web design, I left! It's terrible now.

I've moved to www.quickflix.com.au
Slighter cheaper, easy to navigate, and the queue function actually works!

It's easier just to download movies from torrent sites or go to your local store.

No, it's not. I live 30kms from a video store, and have limited access to the net.
$19 for 5 movies a month, delivered to my door is pretty damn good value.

Alpha Dog starring Emile Hirsch and Justin Timberlake.
Actually a very fucking good movie.
Based on a true story of young punk drug dealers who get over their head and lead to a kidnapping situation where they face hard time in prison...

Reccommended.

Last movie I saw at the movies was "Superhero Movie". The only reason I saw it was because Leslie Nielson was in it.

Much better than all those other spoof movies that have been out in recent years. Like Epic Movie, or Date Movie. This one was actually pretty funny.

As you can probably tell from the name, its a spoof of super hero movies, mainly Spiderman.

If you see it at the video stores and your into those kind of movies definitely check it out.

Horton Hears a Who...

Last movie I've seen in a theatre since the Bee Movie, and a shitload better than that Seinfeild wanker.

seen Iron Man last night at the Drive-IN QLD

At the end of the movie they played the music to Iron Man but no OZZY they cut out all the song, but that was ok I had my own copie...

Yeah, I was a big Iron Man fan before I heard Sabbath, and it really doesn't fit.

(Unless you take the line the Tony stark abused substances, thus his need for a heart machine)
