The kraken gets released in this joint.

Yeah you guys don't even know how much Dime had an influence on my fuckign LIFE. I heard Fucking Hostile when I was FOUR. Really pissed I never got to see them once.
:(((((

I can live through you guys' stories I guess.

PS. THIS THREAD DOES WORK!

I never actually met him...but happened to be standing next to him while he was in the bathroom at the club puking his brains out from partying a little too much. But a few minutes later, he went on stage and played a PERFECT show. The playing was perfect, the guitar sounds/effects were just like on the album. It was like listening to playback almost. Amazing musician.

Winger gets shit on a lot, but this solo RIPS.

I saw Winger play last week; great show.

During the last chorus of Seventeen, Reb walks over and whispers something to Kip, who calls out for the rest of the band to stop playing. "Reb has just informed me that he fucked up the solo and wants to know if he can do it over again." (audience laughs, we didn't notice anything wrong with it) "Well, should we let him?!" (audience cheers) So off they go, playing the second half of the song all over again. Fun night.:tickled:

I could just never really get into Chastain as much as I tried...I don't know why.

This is my guitar God from back in the day:

I can't get into lynch. no matter what. i've tried.

YES! Glad someone jumped on this idea, haha I didn't want to do it, I feel like I'm technically too young to start this up haha.

I think we needa give Jake E Lee some props. Underrated I think.

Paul Gilbert was mentioned but holy shit here we go. He has the best pick attack ever.

David Chastain is fucking nutso. Holy awesome haha.

I don't get how he gets that attack of such a round tipped pick. Must be smashing the fuck out of it.

Of all the instrumental shredder guys that came out of the 80s, Satch is easily my favorite, and only one I can still listen to on a regular basis.
And this song here, is definitely one of the most forgotten (pun not intended) songs from him, and the best of that particular album.

I'm glad to see the love for all these guitarists...most of my favorites. And here's one more that can't be overlooked...and another one of my biggest personal influences: Tony MacAlpine.

Greg is super underrated I think, maybe not among shredheads, but among most guitar players I think. I went to a clinic that he did and I was blown away. Really awesome right hand shit as well.
