The Official Band/Project/Whatever (yours or anyones) Promotion Thread

Hey kosh,

Thanks for the feedback on our music. I checked out your stuff and liked the arrangements, in particular, the vocal harmonies. Mix/production sounds really good as well.

Regards to all,

Paul

Galloglass!

I'll never stop being a huge fan of this new power metal band out of germany. Think Rhapsody but with less of the distracting frills, vocal undulations and whatnot. This is what really got me into power/prog metal.

Well, over on the John Petrucci forums, I had a band mate post a site with our MIDI files on it, and a guy from Fossil Records came across them and he was awesome enough to sample our song Escape and make it sound quite a bit better. Although it would sound quite a bit better with real guitar tracks, this is a hell of an improvement from the MIDI files...

Thanks again to Fossil Records for sampling this for us, and to everyone else for all of your input!

i think this thread should be made sticky so that it doesnt fall off to another page if no one has posted in a few days. hardly anyone ever looks beyond the first page, so they might be less inclined to make new threads promoting the band if they can see it right in their faces all the time.

I second the motion.

Try this. I made a Symphony X cover (The Accolade II) with the help of a MIDI, made by Simone Mularoni. Just removed the MIDI guitars and recorded it myself. Also I added vocals to it. And a lousy solo. My band's name (Static Harmony)... it's a dumb name, anyways. Just created.

damn dude, you sang that?? man, if you lived closer to here... theres no one within a 4 hour drive (the SX guys live about 4 hours north of me) with a voice like that. frkn awesome man, keep it up.

theres a link to the site of one of the bands im in, Aborted Existence, in my pro. We are melodic death metal. they have 3 downloadable songs on their site. thats not me on drums, its their old drummer. they dont have a pic of me on the site yet, but were workin on that. Our 10+ track demo will be out before the end of the year. The progmetal band im in, Awakenings, will be recording and playing some shows in summer 2005. then this alternative rock-ish band im in, Diversity's Secrets (not victoria's secret) is still writing stuff and will prolly record a few tracks early next year. when i get stuff recorded i'll definately put 'em on here. I'm also recording the drums for Meedleyx10's solo cd in summer 2005, i think he's calling it Moose on the Loose.

Hehehe, thank you, thank you!!! Ya know, unfortunatelly I don't live in US, I'm from Brazil, and I just can't find anyone who join me in a SymphX-ish band kind of... anyway, I've just upped a cover song of Arjen Lucassen's Star One, Intergalactic Space Crusaders, and I made all voices too, and also played all instruments. :)
