The Official Band/Project/Whatever (yours or anyones) Promotion Thread

By the way, Matt, speaking of things involving Dark Empire, as soon as OBP sends Liquid Shadows a demo or something with more than one song, we'll be good to play the show in July. :headbang:

This is the version that recently was released in Brazil on Rock Machine records. It is our first official label release of our debut album, and as such, was remastered by Mika Jussila at Finnvox studios in Finland (known for mastering bands such as Children of Bodom, Nightwish, Stratovarius, and Sonata Arctica, among others). It features a bonus track not found on the original self-release, and revised artwork as well.
mmm...bonus track + Mika = I just bought :)

I have to admit though, the production on the normal version is top-notch IMO...will be interesting to hear the difference.

Awesome man! Meltdown is trying to get on the bill as well... so we'll have 3 bands of SymX forum members :D

Iced Dog - there is a huuuuuge difference between the self release and the rock machine remaster. We just updated the songs on our myspace to the Rock Machine versions, so for an idea you can check that out. Even though its low quality myspace streaming, you can get an approximation of the difference. Hope you dig it, thanks for buying :D

Whoa, you're right...it sounds beefier...that intro to Northern Sky is really powerful. Is Mika going to master Humanity Dethroned?

I'm hoping for one of the most metal nights of my life with this show, and so far, with the direction OBP's music is taking as well as the way this event is turning out, it very well could be. :headbang:

And I can definitely hear the difference between the original and remastered versions of A Soul Divided and Northern Sky. The bass drums come through much more clearly than on the original, the keyboards sound more mixed up and it sounds like the guitar has more low end to it. Not to mention that it sounds much more polished and mastered.

If anyone starts responding to my emails, maybe it'd be possible.

Ptah, who are you talking to to get on the bill?
I messaged Dan from Liquid Shadows Entertainment back n fourth over the span of several days. Click

Last I was told, he said that they were still looking for more bands to make it into more of an event than just another show, so I doubt there'll be any problems.

They sound so 80's, it's amazing. Seriously, they're pretty kickass. How do you know them?

They contacted us a while ago, over a year, since we play thrash. We've been talking online for a while, and those guys were always like "You gotta come to LA, there's a great thrash scene." So last summer we went out and played a show with them, and hung out and stuff. Their singer, Gio, is a hell of a nice guy.
