The Official Gear Thread

Jackson's look to be out of my price range :( I'll keep an eye out though.

What about Dean's? If so...... then..... DO WANT

what is your range?

either you love or hate BC rich, but I've found that they do good value guitars in the mid range. a good epiphone is never a bad choice. get an explorer. NOW!

Less than $500...... preferably less than $400. Also, I should have my strings changed yes? I've had the same ones since I got it last year lol.

Yeah, get that changed, theyre probably all rusty. First of all, you can cut yourself. Second, its really bad for the frets. Third, dont be a cheap ass ho. :)

my god, yes. change the strings. but anyway. an Epi or a B.C. Rich would do well for that price. i recomend a mockingbird or a bich from B.C. Rich. and an explorer or a V from Epi. i hate Les pauls and SGs

Go for a Jackson. Cheap Deans, LTDs nd BC Rich guitars are a waste of your money -at least Jackson's midrang axes actally hold toether long enogh for youto get good u out of them. I know this fro experience.

no jacksons worth having for -$500. the X series is about that but the bridge on those are wank. I've had my epi for 5 years now, and a buddy of mine has had a Rich just as long, both still in use.

Haha. Still in the learning stages of guitar. I don't wanna drop $1000 on something I might not use too often :\

You cna get an RR3 or a DK2 of some sort for about £400, which are both prime guitars. Low end BC Rich guitars just sound awful.
In USD RR3's are about 6-7 hundred.
rich's do play well for $300. throw some duncans in and you're good. but anyway my vote is for an epi if you like explorers, which you should.

i wasnt particularly after that exact one i mean one in that style shape, like with the fixed bridge in that are because its ideal for me, the fixed bridge needs to be inline with my knee and collarbone when i play with the guitar on my knee liek this one would be, i cant play the rounded ibanez like ones any suggestions? im thinking ill probably have to pay out loads of on a goddamn custom...
