Hail the three greatest movies of all time! I'm speaking of the original trilogy of course. Discuss.

Randal: What did you like better, Jedi or The Empire Strikes Back?
Dante: Empire.
Randal: Blasphemy.
Dante: Empire had the better ending. I mean, Luke gets his hand cut off, finds out Vader's his father. Han gets frozen and taken away by Boba Fett. It ends on such a down note. I mean, that's what life is, a series of down endings. All Jedi had was a bunch of Muppets.

I cant watch Star Wars anymore, that shit is so stupid how Lucas made it and really dumbs down everything. That whole chase scene on the Ewok planet coulda ended in 1 second if Luke just force pushed(just an example, not the only thing). :X

Frankly, the only reason to watch them is because they're so prolific that you'll miss a lot in non-Star Wars related conversations. The movies themselves don't really have much going for them. Bad special effects, bad acting, generic story, etc...true, it may have been the orignial sci fi movie, or the original generic story, and the special effects weren't their fault because special effects sucked back then but I really don't care. Regardless of the reasons, a mediocre movie is a mediocre movie...so Nec, I would recommend watching the original trilogy, but don't expect much...

How can he drive and use the force? Luke was just a young aspiring jedi and it still took intense concentration to use the force. It's not like you can just bend the world with force, you only have control of a small part of it, and you can't just immediately conjure it without thinking about it.

You sound like Han Solo with your sarcastic observations of the force.

I used to love the old three when I was a kid.

Emphasis on when I was a kid. I grew out of it at about 14. I guess they are still cool to watch sometimes, for nostalgia, but good lord are they ever stupid.

I never saw the original trilogy.

This is madness!*No spartan jokes please*

Empire strikes back is my favorite. My favorite character has to be Luke Skywalker

Got any news about the upcoming Star Wars series. i have been waiting that. It is rumored that another generation of Skywalker will be the main character instead of Luke.
