I never thought I would like this type of band, but they rule. I have their new album, "Empires of the New Worlds" and it's a scorcher!

They are on the Chicago PowerFest line-up this year, www.ChicagoPowerfest.com. I think they alone are worth the price of the ticket.

BTW, what WOULD everyone categorize this band as? They aren't really death ... thrash maybe?

I think just about everyone hear knows of these guys, considering that the average here are aware of the Chicago Powerfest line-up. Plus, the singer used replaced Lance King in Balance of Power for 1 album.

Check out SoulRelic out of Finland. They are along the lines of HIM and Sentenced and such. Typically great Finnish sound if you like that kind of thing.

Also check out Vengeance's "Take it or Leave It" cd for late 80s Dutch hard rock at its best! Yes, this was Arjen L's band then but it's just a ballsy type of cd with some unique stuff for the era.
