if you hated the movie then you should read the book to see if it's better than the movie because i have yet to hear anyone say the movie was better than the book

But if I found the movie to be, by and large intolerable, why, would I ever spend more time reading the book? Surely the humor is in the same dry British vein that was not in this case, at all funny. It was like all the slow parts of Monty Python crammed together for one most unpleasant experience.

Conversely I love much American humour. I recently bought all 4 seasons of curb your enthusiasm, and have been hooked on Larry David for the last week :tickled:

yeah, thats my favorite show right now. Arrested Development, which is going off the air, is also quite hilarious.

I have season one of arrested development. Fox have a history of cancelling the best shows (firefly...anyone?).

Curb your enthusaism just cannot be beaten, i dont think. Larry is enormously funny. Has season 5 started airing yet at all?

Fox showed it out of order and with minimum advertising, they never supported it from the offset. It was the best tv show i've ever seen - everything clicked. Thankfully joss has been allowed to carry the saga on in movie form.

if you've got a show that still makessense when the episodes are out of order then your show is crap so why would they show the episodes out of order with no advertising??? that just doesn't make any sense

It didn't make sense, that's the thing. They aired episode 2 first and left the two part introductory episode to be shown mid-season it was silly and made no sense. Not to mention, some of the shows were not even aired.
