I checked them live at TUSKA festival this year and to be honest they didnt impress me that much. Maybe the sunny weather and their stage show (that wasnt ruined by a lot of gestures) didnt fit together that well. Maybe I'll give a try for them sometime.

Well, whether you like Lifelover or not, the similarities are undeniable!

I listened to their new album for the first time yesterday, I need to listen to it more. First listen sounded promising though.

Unfurl has become one of my fav songs at the moment. I listen to it several times a day and sometimes I just want more of it. So I was thinking if anyone could recommend a song or a band that's even slightly the same style. Any recommendations?

Seriously, there's many 'Katatonic' moments in Lifelover's music, there really are.. And I understand what you mean by 'amateurish', but somehow this amateurishness kind of 'belongs' in Lifelover's case i.mo.

I know. I just think its ridicilous how pretty much any band in Black Metal gets signed and worshipped no matter how they sound almost.
