So, apparently Season 3 may happen. From what I've read, AMC execs have yet to decide. The guy who plays Holder says he'll shoot himself if he has to...

Agreed. I haven't seen the original version, but I would assume it be a completely new case.

Yes. The show can be a bit uneven (direction and dialog), but the story is enjoyable.
