The T.V. thread...

I'm currently watching Farscape, Twin Peaks, and I just got the first disc of Millennium since I met Lance Henriksen at a bar last week.

Last year I watched Avatar. It was fuckin' awesome. I also watched some Californication, which as much as I enjoy, I really can only stomach like half a season every two years. Kinda awesome, kinda makes me want to kill people. ???

Serenity and X-files are still the greatest things ever. Also if Neon Genesis Evangelion and Cowboy Bebop count, put those in there too.

The only current TV show I keep up with (when they are released on DVD) is True Blood. It's a lot of fun.

I started Twin Peaks right before this semester started and only made it through episode 2. Looking forward to May when I can resume.
Tried Californication and I kinda feel the same way you do
Started X-Files from the beginning back in December but I never really got it rolling. There's alot of fucking episodes

X-files has some really terrible early and later episodes but the good ones more than make up for it.

Honestly sometimes when I think "oh I should watch this hip new television series once Netflix gets it" instead I just go and rewatch all 9 seasons of X-files.

I saw the bulk of the series back when it first aired...but I'd like to try and watch all of them again.

Been sick and bedridden the last two days, so I've been finishing up The Wire. Got one episode left. I don't want to watch it. I don't want it to end.

Luckily I downloaded them all. I will probably watch this series at least 3-4 more times. Like Breaking Bad, it is easily more engaging and substantive than 99% of the novels I've read in my lifetime. And I've read quite a few great ones.

anyone watch THE KILLING on AMC (season 1 on Netflix now)?

looks interesting from the synopsis ...

THE KILLING really is great :kickass:

Based on a Danish series and shot in the Seattle area it is overall very grim. I have yet to see sunshine 3 episodes in.

Scenes really linger and let you soak them in ... love that.

My wife is hooked and she is on episode 5 already ... making me sit here with headphones and listening to Varg rap so I don't listen to what happens 2 episodes ahead.

I've been catching up on a lot of stuff from the library. Nip/Tuck, Weeds and Breaking Bad. All shows are kick ass.

Lurch you found anywhere to watch the Danish one? Sounds like a waste of time to watch the US version, but probably watch that anyways.
