The T.V. thread...

just finished Season 1 of THE KILLING ... smoking show.
great characters ... such a simple plot yet it's amazing how involving it was for almost 13 hours.

I just watched the first 3 episodes of The Killing. It was fucking ace. How many shows have been made about homicide? Too many, but this show really sets itself apart because of the atmosphere and characters.

the atmosphere is great. i think i only saw sun in episode 10 for like 3 minutes. it's a terrible show for tourism to the NW. it is supposed to take place in Seattle but the show is shot in Vancouver.
Joel Kinneman ... this dude needs to be a huge actor. Swedish with a NYC ghetto accent

also EVERY character is morally flawed ... EVERY.

hence the reason I'm moving there :D

Was kind of saddened by the ending of the first season of The Killing, guessed it but figured it would go somewhere well, like it did the whole season and then went back to it. I liked it though, still craving the danish version

second season is all over the place so far ... not sure I am going to be digging this "mob angle" .... it's bad enough that Stan is reminding me of Tony Soprano since episode one.

... they better keep it grim.

Swizzle, you were right: Mad Men really starts to pick up. Midway through season 2. Glad I stuck with it. Don Draper reminds me of myself.
