Tell me, am I missing something with diSEMBOWELMENT? Damn, I've tried in excess of 20 times to get into Transcending into the Pheripheral. One time I started grooving on it a bit, but even since then I haven't been able to catch onto it. I much prefer Winter, to be honest.

I've been listening to a lot of Sodom lately. I had Agent Orange for a while and decided to get some more of their material, so I ordered all the full-lengths (and "In the Sign of Evil") and the new DVD. Awesome stuff. The DVD really got me into the band and gave me more of a background on them. Surprisingly, the new stuff is still great, unlike most older bands that tend to fall apart later in their career. I just got "M-16" the other day, and that rules. I'm still waiting on "Tapping the Vein", "Get What You Deserve", and "'Til Death Do Us Unite". I'm really looking forward to the new album this year. I have no doubt that it will be just as great as the rest of their works.

Ballistic is an awesome speed/thrash metal band. They've only got one self titled full length out but it slays the whole way through. Intense and melodic at the same time. Anyone know anything about Tom Gattis's other bands, Wardog and Tension? I'm hoping there as good as Ballistic.

I got Dismember's "Death Metal" tonight. It sounds pretty good, reminds me of Entombed and Unleashed, but more melodic. I also got My Dying Bride's "The Angel and the Dark River". I've only listened to a little bit of it, but it doesn't sound like the death/doom they've always been made out to be. More like funeral doom, I'd say.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, not The Angel And The Dark River. AS THE FLOWER WITHERS. The Angel And The Dark River is pretty much utter shit. I made the same mistake. As for Dismember, you need Like An Everflowing Stream, Indecent & Obscene/Pieces, and the new one, The God That Never Was. And the demos.
