I think i listened to them a few years back, it mustn't have left a good impression because i have acquired none of their cds, and all that comes to mind is power metal.

Drawn and Quartered used to be brutal death, then on their latest CD they went for an Immolation-esque dissonant sound. I don't know if I like their new or older material better.

They've kinda always had that sound, at least back since Extermination Revelry...they were never brutal death in the actual sense. They've always been a good combo of old-school death, Immolation, some Floridian and Swedish influence here and there, and some black metal and doom influences.

I have "The Black Opera" and "Sacro Culto" and they are really interesting albums.

To all you American fellows, may I rec. Withered - Memento Mori - which a fantastic album by your countrymen, melding early 90's Swede-death action with great atmospherics.

I reviewed it when it first came out, but after playing it again, it only gets better with age.
