i don't see how you can call the vocals shitty, even if you don't like the music. they're pretty standard growls and screams, so you'd have to not like growls and screams to be annoyed by them.

From what I heard they were that awful mid range growl so unfortunately prevalent in the lighter realms of extreme metal. I can't stand it.

Closed Casket Requiem is my favorite by them. After another listen I'd say Miasma's nowhere near as good as Unhallowed.

So it occurs to me that the lyrics to Gun Barrel's Take Me To The Highway are completely lifted from Motorhead's Hellraiser (I hear Ozzy Osbourne also recorded that song, w/e, Motorhead's version is probably way better).

Has anyone see that one of Bathory's songs is going to be re-made by the nsbm band Nokturnal Mortum? They plan to make a cover version of the song Valhalla. I'm am not sure what Quorthon would have said to that considering he stated that he was not a National socialist in his one of songs. Any thoughts people?

my thoughts are meh to the politics in music as long as they aren't screaming kill all the white people or something.

I may listen to the cover as I like bathory and it will be interesting to hear.

sounds great... that's my fav from hammerheart... i hope they do as good a job with it as they did with Thurisaz and My Journey to the Stars

it's kind of boring, it screaming out for some clean vocals (lol, and normal metal lyrics. but it would still be a bit boring. random bits of songs are alright on that one.

actually no it really is mostly shit. I don't own it but I've heard two songs.
