The Thread Where You Talk About Music You Like

Has anyone see that one of Bathory's songs is going to be re-made by the nsbm band Nokturnal Mortum? They plan to make a cover version of the song Valhalla. I'm am not sure what Quorthon would have said to that considering he stated that he was not a National socialist in his one of songs. Any thoughts people?

The problem is when the fuck is NM going to release the new album.

lol he gave it 2% because he's an atheist. What a faggot

Moving along...
Just saw Dragonforce live and got to see all Herman Li's insane guitar wankery from about a foot away. I was tempted to punch him in the balls just to make the news. They also mentioned that a new album is coming out on August 26th which also happens to be my birthday :headbang:

I'm also looking forward to the new Wintersun. I think their self-titled debut was absolutely perfect.

Whats up all, some of the albums I've been listening to are as follows Amorphis-Silent Waters Arsis-We Are The Nightmare Novembre-The Blue Opeth-Watershed Draconian-Turning Season Within Soilwork-Sworn To A Great Devide

I don't think Quorthon would have been overjoyed, but he struck me as a cool dude from what I read on the Bathory.se site and I'm sure he would have let them do it if it required his permission. He did, however, distance himself from the extreme ideologies of the black metal bands inspired by his own work. I read that part of the reason he went viking was because he was getting letters from serial killers and convicted murderers saying they were fans of his work, and someone left a decapitated kitten outside the record label's office. I realize that's different from NSBM, by the way.

Incidentally, I noticed the Bathory website is down the other day. There was a lengthy band bio written by the man himself on there, and it explained a ton of things and was a great read. Does anyone know if it's been preserved?

"They're satanic, that's like being christian. Satanism goes against everything black metal stands for."

Good man. DF are tons of fun live. The new album already leaked, by the way. Can't wait for the Wintersun.

Listening to Hammers of Misfortune on their myspace for the first time ever.

Pretty damn kickass.
I know, right? I found this band yesterday and it's actually really dope.

Good stuff. I think I understand your taste from that, actually.
