I'm digging Averse Sefira. Tetragrammatical Astygmata is a pretty cool album. Advent Parallax isn't as good, but still enjoyable. I haven't heard the others.

I like alot of different types of metal, classic metal thrash metal speed metal power metal nu-metal hair metal but no death/black/emo metal -.-

I've heard of all those bands, but I've not yet heard any of them. I will be working with this Italian chick who is a tech death metal guitarist. We're will be working on getting a band together, but the only Italian metal band I could think of that I listen to is Graveworm... I'm sure I listen to more, I just don't always pay attention to where the band is from.
I take it Aborym would be a good band to look into??
Got the second box of 30 cds yesterday. cba to type them up right now.
Anyhow. Listened to the following:
Brainstorm - Ambiguity
The singer has a great voice but doesn't sing well; he omits tons of words to the point where the lyrics don't make sense, has a crazy accent, and worst of all there are no interesting vocal lines. The band are clearly solid musicians, so there's hope for their later releases. This one is okay, but not great.
Uncle Slam - Will Work For Food
Extremely boring thrash. Unbelievably generic. Most of the riffs are okay, but the song structure is really shitty and it just generally feels like it was slapped together.
Domine - Dragonlord: Tales Of The Mighty Steel
Tedious, uninspired power metal. These guys are clearly solid musicians, but they lack any shred of songwriting skill. I could see them going on to release better stuff, since they have more or less the right idea, but this is a boring mess.
On the plus side, I've been listening to Vomitory a lot and really liking it.
