Interesting.... I have their first album and enjoyed it, but seemed to always be knocked away for the greater God Speed albums. Now that i'm of their jock I should go bakc to Mt. Zion. Thanks for the reminder!

Manowar's Sign Of The Hammer is a fucking amazing album. People don't worship it nearly enough. I really wish they'd kept doing this stuff. The only flaw is that when they let him off the leash to do his weird experiments, like on Mountains and Thunderpick, Joey DeMaio is the worst bassist that has ever existed, as he not only fails to complement the rest of the band but actively detracts from the sound. On the other hand, when they reign him in and he just does his basslines and arpeggios he's fucking awesome.
