I actually like Traced in Air alot, I think it's a very strong follow up to Focus with its use of clean and robotic vocals. The songwriting is also very solid, not groundbreaking in terms of Cynic but by no means a bad record.

Bathory's s/t is awesome.
Gardenian - Soulburner is excellent.
And Nordland I is nearly as good as Hammerheart.
But Twilight Of The Gods is pretty meh, although the song Hammerheart is cool (yeah I know it's Holst).

I'm not sure, but the review gave 3 tracks that were the highlight of the CD so i'm guessing they heard the whole album. But who knows, some reviewers in magazines don't even listen to the CD...haha (David Peisner, the Maxim writer responsible for a negative review of the Black Crows new album without hearing the CD)
