Bitch, it’s better than Ride the Wings of Pestilence. Which is good, but lacks the peaks of this song.

This pleases me. Everyone needs more Dawn in their lives. One of the best logos ever as well!

Which do you prefer between the debut and Slaughtersun?

They’ve seemingly been recording a new album for the past like 8 years. They need to get on with that shit. They comment on some of their YouTube songs and I remember reading one that said they were in the studio. But that was years ago.

I haven't really listened to the debut enough to remember any songs from it, since it doesn't have Ride the Wings of Pestilence on it.

I've never heard another black metal song as storytelling and evocative as Ride the Wings of Pestilence, lyrically and musically. When I hear that opening motif, it instantly paints this image in my head of a flock of ravens descending against a blood-red sky. Other songs on that album might distinguish themselves by having "that one riff I love" or something like that, but it's all abstract, nothing transports me like Ride the Wings of Pestilence does. It is to black death what Irae Melanox is to the catholic inquisition. It's my favorite song about plague in a universe where this exists. It's probably my all-time favorite black metal song, except maaaaybe Morrigan - Giants of Stone, but that's a completely different animal.

I fucking love that Procession song! Absolutely massive. One of my favourite doom songs in general.

Ride the Wings of Pestilence lacks the killer moments that songs like Malediction Murder and The Aphelion Deserts have. You know the ones I constantly pimp. Those moments that push songs over the edge, it doesn’t have them for me.

My favourite black metal songs are possibly “Obsolete Tears” and “Hvis lyset tar oss”.
