one thing that the internet (not just fb) has done that is a mixed blessing of sorts is make it clear that everyone is more or less made of the same shit

it used to be that folks like artists, authors, musicians, philosophers, etc had kind of a mystique surrounding them but now everyone is just blahhh and it feels like no human has ever accomplished anything exciting
